Meet Sam, Your Breeder
From a young age, Sam Harvey's heart belonged to dogs. Growing up visiting her family farm where border collies were bred for generations, she always had a pup cradled in her arms. It was no surprise when she decided to follow her passion and become a dog breeder.
After settling down with her husband on the shores of Connecticut, Sam set her sights on raising Labrador retrievers. Known for their loyalty and love for families, Labs were the perfect choice for her vision of creating a tight-knit community centered around these beloved pets.
With over a decade of experience, Sam has established the CopperRidge Family, where every dog is raised in her home with the utmost care. Through providing top-notch nutrition and extensive health testing, she ensures that each pup is a shining example of the breed. Active in Labrador clubs and dog shows, Sam's dedication to her furry family is unmatched.
About CopperRidge Labs
Our goal at CopperRidge Labradors is to produce high quality Labrador puppies that are not only bred to AKC standards but also to have amazing temperaments. We are a preservation breeder of Labrador retrievers and only produce 1 to 3 carefully thought-out litters a year.
We chose the Labrador breed because it is the perfect canine companion. They are extremely intelligent, eager to please, easy to train, affectionate, and most importantly they provide unconditional love and devotion. Our dogs have become irreplaceable to our family and that is our hope for our puppies’ future homes.
The health of of Labrador puppies is of upmost importance. Our breeding dogs are certified through OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) for hips and elbows, their eyes are checked annually with a board certified ACVO ophthalmologist, and their hearts are checked for any evidence of congenital cardiac disease. They are also DNA clear for the following: Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA), Exercise-Induced Collapse (EIC), Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM), Hereditary Nasal Parakeratosis (HNPK), and Degenerative Myelopathy (DM), they are Dilute Free (DD).
